Designer Sergio Zambon presented 2 Moncler 1952 Spring Summer 2021 Men’s Collection, that takes an enlightened approach on Moncler classics. The collection explores many references from the heights of the French alps to the shores of Cape Cod. It also infuses brand’s classic sense of humor in a series of comic wildlife sweatshirts with rhyming adages like ‘As You Wish, Jellyfish’ and ‘What’s Cooking, Good Looking?’ illustrated with bold cartoon critters, as well as optimistic messages such as ‘Maintain Serenity With Strength And Purpose’ and ‘Promoting Access’. Fashion photographer Mark Kean captured the lookbook, with styling from Jodie Barnes.

Musing on outdoor pursuits near and far, this springtime uniform is personified by hybrid archetypes from the neo-hippie to the weekend hiker, or even the casual gardener. Grounded by a refined cargo silhouette – from drawstring Bermuda shorts to flared ‘palazzo chinos’ – outerwear pieces are punctuated with block print mountain florals, realist alpine photo prints, and the geographic and altitude coordinates of Moncler’s birthplace: Monestier-de-Clermont. Sheer ripstop fabrics create a tonal interplay of protective transparency, as hooded windcheaters and patch pocket cargos create X-ray effects against the flat, opaque textures of ‘chambray’ cotton nylon, matte bonded cotton and the unmistakable lustre of nylon laqué.

In vertical quilting, a sleeveless gilet and mandarin collar jacket feature concealed zips to create minimalist, ultra-lightweight down options for spring. Others close with a double snap stud placket to accommodate layering. Such pragmatic design solutions mingle with fluid fashion expressions, from apron shorts and gardening dungarees to square retro eyewear, leafy muslin bandanas, and ‘lei’ necklaces festooned with nylon rosettes.” – From Moncler

Tips for Buying Diamond Jewelry for Valentine’s Day

$

0

Shopping for jewelry for a loved one ahead of Valentine’s Day can be very stressful. The diamond jewelry can be a true showstopper and a piece your partner will wear lovingly for years to come.

JEWELRY

2020 has been anything but ordinary so get inspired to gift something great for the special someone in your life. The following list of tips is here to help you buy a perfect Valentine’s Day gift with confidence and a great result.

Read more after the jump:

Being Educated Is Important

If you know your partner likes diamonds, let’s make sure you have some background knowledge before you head to the jeweler.  Buying a diamond is a sizeable investment you will likely make, and you don’t want to take any unnecessary risks. That’s why it is very important to know all about the four Cs. To determine the quality and value of a diamond, the industry has been using four characteristics, known as The Four Cs – carat, cut, clarity, and color. But even if a diamond hits the top of every scale and has a high price, that doesn’t necessarily, mean that it is more beautiful than some more affordable diamond.

“It is safest to buy a “sealed” diamond with a certificate from world-renowned certification labs like, GIA, AGL, or IGI.  They enable you to double check the findings of your diamond’s report online.” – advices jewelry expert Marko Manitasevic A.G.  You simply enter the report number and the carat weight of the stone and verify that the online data matches the data on your diamond certificate. Check for the code on the edge of your stone – it should be laser engraved. This procedure will prevent jewelers and resellers to switch out the stone for one of a lesser quality.

Know Your Budget

Gifting a diamond is a priceless gesture; however rare gems often come at a specific price point. To avoid falling into the trap of overspending, you should set the budget in advance. You should determine your budget by looking at your financial situation along with any specific desires of partner. Do your research about the acceptable price range of the particular diamond jewelry you have in mind and make sure you get an excellent deal.

Know Your Partner’s Taste

Some people choose the gems that are in style and trendy, while others opt for something classic that will stand the test of time. However, you should take into account your partner’s style and their preferences before you decide on anything.

If you want it to be surprise, don’t ask your partner directly which exact piece of jewelry they want, but try and get an idea of their style by asking them about what designs they like in other jewelry. Try to figure out if they prefer the pieces mostly made of white gold or yellow gold? Does he or she prefer vintage pieces or modern designs?

Lean on the people closest to your partner – their best friend, cousin, whoever. Maybe they have already shared their desires or preferences.

Be Creative

Fancy diamonds are a great option for those who are bored with traditional white or transparent diamond and want something unusual and fun. They can appeal to almost every aesthetic, and can fit any style. They are also available in a wide range of budgets too. Pink diamonds, for example, are very popular among the millennial because of their “wow factor”. They’re the ideal diamond to incorporate into delicate designs of rings, earrings or necklaces. Plus, this elegant colored diamond represents love, loyalty, and eternal commitment.

If you want something sparkly but want to avoid blood diamonds, lab diamonds can be a good solution. They are about 20 percent to 40 percent less expensive, and there’s no visible difference between natural and lab grown diamond.

Conclusion

Buying a Valentine’s Day gift for your partner shouldn’t be a stressful process. By following the tips above, you’ll be able to shop for diamonds knowing exactly what you’re looking for, without being affected by the most common traps and pitfalls. Whichever diamond you choose, what is most important is that both you and your partner are happy with it.

Fashion house MOSCHINO presented their Fall Winter 2021.22 Men’s Collection, that was inspired by post-impressionism and Old Hollywood cinema. Models Alexis Chaparro, Brandon Good, and Noah Luis Brown star in the lookbook lensed by fashion photographer Marcus Mam. In charge of beauty were hair stylist Sofia Car, makeup artist Lottie, and manicurist Yoko Sakakura. Set design is work of Thomas Thurnauer.

Emotive brushstrokes trail swaths of jewel-toned hues. Trompe l’oeil ridges of acrylic varnish knife themselves into dimension. Watercolor abstractions—like steam floating in a brick-lined alleyway—invoke a 1940’s film noir verve. Jeremy Scott’s Moschino Fall 2021 menswear collection takes wardrobe essentials—from formal coats to motorcycle jackets to waistcoats—and enlivens them with a painter’s hand. Post-Impressionism, say hello to sartorial panache with a dash of Old Hollywood cinema.

The collection begins with a series of jackets, including topcoats, perfectos, car coats, and parkas. Painted free-form prints, in the visual realm of Cézanne and Gauguin, appear on lapels, double-breasted closures, pockets and plackets. The effect renders each garment as an easel, and every piece is thus finished with a balance of shadow and highlight, motion and emotion, and the conceptual and the tangible. Coats give way to printed jumpers and animated blazers, ranging in treatment from grayscale argyle to lively, velvet-effect shading.” – From Moschino

Ermenegildo Zegna Winter collection

Ermenegildo Zegna XXX Winter 2021 collection took the first day in the Milan Fashion Week schedule showing the Milanese brand venturing into unisex looks for the first time. Zegna has for the first time introduced unisex looks with the Fall Winter 2021 collection worn by female models taking the latest digital runway. The collection was presented with no audience via a short film encapsulating the essences of Milan.

Ermenegildo Zegna Fall Winter 2021.22 Collection

The video takes Zegna models from the streets of Milan, to their homes and then back to the corridors of the striking Zegna HQ building. Talking about the collection Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori has shared: “We all are experiencing a new reality concerned with new needs, which lead us to previously unseen lifestyles and attitudes. It is precisely at a time like this, when everything is under discussion, that we, at Zegna, have decided to (Re)set. We have looked at our roots to (Re)interpret our style codes and (Re)tailor the modern man. Outdoor and indoor come together and a new way of dressing takes hold, where comfort and style blend to create a new aesthetic

Ermenegildo Zegna Fall Winter 2021.22 Collection

Ermenegildo Zegna Fall Winter 2021.22 Collection

Ermenegildo Zegna is comprised of over fifty new looks taking on the house’s signature sartorial tailoring with combination of materials such as cashmere and jersey. Knitwear going hand in hand with the season is used throughout the collection, creating a new outlook on the classical sweater.

The collection follows a seamless pace. A new and varied generation of jersey fabrics take center stage at Zegna. Shapes are fluid, comfortable and adaptable. In sync with lifestyles that blend indoors and outdoors, the tropes of stay-at-home dressing – the shawl collars and belted generosity of a robe de chambre, the ease of track pants and the coziness of hand cut jersey slippers – reshape the very idea of formality. Archetypal items get new functions in a switch of forms, weights and materials. Chore coats in cashmere, wrapped as a robe, take up the role of habitual sport codes, hybrid suits are in double cashmere, unreleased groups of knitwear replace shirts, new sweaters made of felted cashmere and knit, or knitted out of leather, are meant as outerwear; trousers and jackets are cut in shearling. Even briefcases, the very epitome of business, are deconstructed,” shares Zegna PR team.

Prada Menswear Fall Winter 2021 collection by Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada presented today in Milano during the ongoing Menswear Fashion Week. The Italian fashion brand has opted for a recorded runway video with no audience to capture the Fall Winter 2021 collection. Miuccia’s signature Prada sentiment is this time fully infused with the one of Raf Simons. The oversized sweater undoubtedly Raf’s very own signature is turned intou outerwear and fused with with Prada aesthetic. Prints while still honoring the Prada code are indeed mixed up with the Simons touch. All in all the collection perhaps even better than the womenswear one presented in September, shows the length of the Raf-Miuccia partnership.

Prada shares:  “A similar doublespeak is reflected in the depiction of the body itself – via clothes reduced, minimalized in structure. The logical conclusion is to return to the body: jacquard-knit bodysuits create a streamlined “second skin”, serving to delineate the figure in dynamic movement. Abstraction of feeling becomes abstraction of freedom. These bodysuits paradoxically reveal while concealing, placing an emphasis on physicality, but also covering the form. Some are proposed alone: in other outfits, they are used to create a base layer under tailoring and outerwear. They denote both protection and exposure, with synchronous connotations of the naive and knowing, intimate and removed, youthful and mature. In the latter, they reflect a passage of time, of life.

The collection comes with a strong outlook on outerwear in menswear, producing a myriad of investment pieces for any fashion-conscious shopper. In addition, Prada Fall Winter 2021 collection undoubtedly pushes all the buttons of avid Prada/Simons fans. In more than forty looks sent down the runway the season offers Prada classic pieces as well as the trend forward statement visualisation coming to life.

Following the runway video, Miuccia and Raf took time to talk to students around the globe via a video link – available in the video above.

Tod’s Menswear fall winter 2021 collection presented today during the ongoing Milano Fashion Week features Italian actor on the rise Lorenzo Zurzolo.

RELATED: Fall Winter 2021 Menswear Collections

The latest collection from Tod’s clearly shows the growth of the fashion house far beyond it’s footwear line. Artist Director of Tod’s Walter Chiapponi successeds to once again merge the timeless elegance with contemporary tendences. A striking architecture marble by Architect Giuseppe De Finetti serves as the backdrop of the Fall Winter 2021 menswear collection. Chiapponi and his team have selects Villa Ronchi in Vigevano for the photo shoots and short film starring actor Lorenzo Zurzolo. The short film finds the young actor preparing for the role while looking dapper in looks from Tod’s Menswear Fall Winter 2021 collection. Film holds the title Seven and while perhaps stay at home is no longer the theme of our lives it is still on our minds. “Seven like the days of the week, T for Tod’s but also for time,” shares Tod’s team speaking about the collection.

Walter Chiapponi once again pays attention to the tailoring of Tod’s garments, outerwear is shaped with sartorial tailoring in mind.  “The artisanal nature of the product is the highest expression of style. Warm, earthy tones are used on tweeds, wools and sturdy cottons that reference a natural camouflage with the landscape,” shares Tod’s.

The T plays another role, Walter and his design team bring the capital T in a form of a new signature for the label placing it as a belt buckle, on loafers as well as bags in the new collection.

Fendi Menswear FW21

Fendi Menswear design team with Silvia Venturini Fendi on helm is taking the winter season seriously, dazzling us with a slew of showstopping outerwear looks. The redefined puffer jackets shift the traditional lines, with Silvia and her Fendi team once again pulling a noteworthy design. No doubt, high street is already finding its way to knock off the new looks sent down the Fendi runway in Milan.

RELATED: FALL WINTER 2021 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS

The new collection featured over forty new looks, focusing season appropriately on womenswear. Outerwear itself became more important than ever with pandemic restrictions most likely surrounding us. While fashion brands just as all of us are hoping for ease of the restrictions by the next winter the same have also seen a surge in statement outerwear pieces. While gathering indoor was likely limited or entirely prohibited a coat or a warm jacket found an entirely new meaning. Fendi team has definitely offered a slew of solutions.

Madonna loves doing things in an organic way—she is very spiritual. When we were doing the ‘Medellín’ video, it was almost 48 hours working nonstop, and I was surprised, because Madonna, she was 60 years old, but she looks like she is younger than me. – Maluma

When I first met Maluma, I was drawn to his positivity and good energy, but when I got to know him, what surprised me was his work ethic. Being in the studio with him was effortless, and performing with him on ‘Medellín’ was a gratifying collaboration. We proved to be creative kindred spirits and had a fun time doing it. – Madonna on Maluma

I try to make friends in the industry, but it is very hard. Sometimes I feel like they want to be my friends, but once I show them my back, they stab me. I prefer staying safe with my friends, where I always feel comfortable. When I didn’t have any money, they were there for me, inviting me to their house for lunch. They’re the ones who were laughing at me, and now they are enjoying my success. That’s life—just being grateful for everything that has happened. – Maluma
