Discover MERCY X MANKIND Fall Winter 2021.22 Coalesce collection, that explores polarized times we live in, and the strength of coherence, presented with a fashion film as part of the ongoing New York Fashion Week. Photographer Eric Hason captured the lookbook featuring models Arnaldo Campbell, Amani Alexander, Miguel Valencia, and Mohammed Nabeel. In charge of styling was Arnaldo Campbell.

The technologies that were meant to connect us have had the reverse effect – they have exponentially increased social dilemmas. With effortless ability we reduce the distance that separates mankind, but somehow, along the way, we forgot that the real power is to coalesce.

The verb to “coalesce” means to come together to form one mass or whole. Mankind can only come together when we understand our individual selves and then each other; by accepting our differences we reveal our similarities. This collection is a reminder that the very things that separate us will most likely be the ones that unify us.” – from Mercy X Mankind

Discover DIRTY PINEAPPLE Fall Winter 2021.22 Local Resort Collection, that explores the streets of Shanghai, presented on February 16th, at the ongoing New York Fashion Week. The collection explores the contrast between feelings of claustrophobia and the feeling of being wild and free every time we go outside.

FALL WINTER 2021 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS

Individual proclivities in digital are a recurring theme at Dirty Pineapple. The team is no stranger to exposing the personal impact of modern digital behaviors. With Covid restrictions, online conversations have shifted to what’s local, bringing attention to one’s own back garden. From relationships to food and interiors, online posts have switched from the touristic and idyllic to intimate moments; a shift that re-discovered gems in the local scene. Dirty Pineapple connected with this movement and found themselves creatively stimulated by the streets of Shanghai: they call it Local Resort.” – from Dirty Pineapple

Discover THE STOLEN GARMENT Fall Winter 2021.22 Lost in Translation Collection, inspired by the designer’s trip to a used bookstore in Seoul, presented at New York Fashion Week. Models Changmho Kang, Dohyeong Kim, and Hyukwoo Kim star in the lookbook lensed by fashion photographer Gun Sang Park. In charge of styling was Dahee Choi, with beauty from hair stylist Eunhye Jo, and makeup artist Minji Kim.

FALL WINTER 2021 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS

Browsing the dusty book section of the store, the designer was inspired by the tragic poignancy of each word that made up the titles of these books, most of which were published in 90s. These words included: Desire, Passion, Devotion, Neophyte, Absolute Love, Delinquent, End of the World, Spirit, Megalopolis Love, Upper Classman, Play Lover, Gust/Wind/Breeze

He and his friends mixed these words to come up with convincing 90s book titles. This word play was then translated into collages of the used books he bought from the bookstore. The collection pieces reinterpret the wardrobes as they are represented in the 90s books. The clothes on these pages are marked by their omission and simplification of details, as well as the stylization of their silhouette that fit the narrative and compositional context.” – from THE STOLEN GARMENT

7 Bags Every Man Should Own

A bag is like a pair of shoes – there are a few high-quality staples every man should own for different occasions and purposes.

Travel, work, gym, business and leisure time call for different bags designed with particular functionalities.

It’s true, buying a proper bag takes time to research, and if you want it to last, it’s also an investment. However, once you get it right, you not only have something that lasts years, you can also have a statement piece of your entire look.

Here are 7 bags every man should own.

Backpack

Your first bag ever was probably a school backpack, and it’s still a must-have for a grown adult too. Only this time, you should skip the ones in neon colours and with ninja turtle stickers.

When purchasing a backpack first think about where you will use it – work, weekends, gym or hiking trips. Once you’ve determined that, you’ve narrowed your choices down.

If you need a backpack for the office, opt for a leather one. Quality sports brand options are the best choice for an active getaway and if you want to feel like Indiana Jones get a canvas backpack with multiple pockets.

7 Bags Every Man Should Own

Briefcase

A briefcase is the city worker’s best friend. It’s smart, practical, and if you buy a good one, there’s no reason it can’t last you a lifetime.

A briefcase perfect for carrying all the essential paperwork, it doesn’t overpower your suit-and-tie look and let’s be honest – it looks classy as hell!

Make sure your briefcase works with all your suits or get two in different colours.

Messenger bag

Ah, the messenger bag. Mailmen love it; students love it, even businessmen carry it! It’s probably the most common bag among men of all walks of life. Its shape is perfect for laptops, folders, books and miscellaneous items.

Usually made of canvas this bag is sturdy and durable, and it’s super convenient to carry it with a strap over a shoulder.

Satchel

The satchel otherwise known as newsboy bag is a classic style that has become synonymous with men’s casual wear.

It’s the perfect choice for guys who don’t like backpacks and don’t want to carry a briefcase. Satchel has a spacious main compartment and a few smaller pockets for miscellaneous items like pens, keys and your phone.

Beloved by students and artsy types a satchel is informal yet somehow still classy.

Duffel Bag

Unless you want to carry your workout clothes in a paper bag, you’ll need a gym bag! And there’s no better gym bag than a duffel! It’s spacious, sturdy, breathable and perfect for keeping track of your workout clothes.

Get one that has enough pockets for a towel, water bottle, protein snacks and socks. Most sportswear brands have at least a few quality duffel bag options, so you only need to pick your favourite colour!

7 Bags Every Man Should Own

Tote Bag

No, we’re not talking about the tote bags from your grocery store. The gentleman’s tote bag is usually made from soft leather and is the ultimate add-on to a casual business look.

It’s a more laid back version of a briefcase and has longer handles, and if you get a luxury tote in black or brown, it’s going to serve for you for years.

Weekender bag

Perfect for throwing a few things together for a weekend trip, this bag is an upgrade from boxy suitcases.

Feel like a real 19th-century lord when arriving at your destination carrying a luxurious leather bad boy filled with all the must-haves like loafer shoes and high-quality crewneck t-shirts like the ones from Fresh Clean Tees.

It might be tempting to save a few bucks and opt for a polyester bag, but resist, and you won’t regret it.

The Best Ways to Keep Wrinkles Away

The Best Ways to Keep Wrinkles Away

CBD is not as much of a taboo as it used to be in the past. People are letting go of the harsh criticisms and are embracing the fact that CBD oil is used in more products than ever. Not only that you can find drinks with CBD, but there are also dog treats, gummies, tinctures, creams, and softgels. While you may still get the occasional “Doesn’t it make you high?” question and a side-eye from your family members, CBD usage is more acceptable. This applies when it comes to countries where CBD is legal.

But how about the effects of CBD on the skin? It’s said that many people use creams and softgels as a way to prevent wrinkles. Why is that? Below you will find out why people consider them some of the best ways to stop wrinkles from knocking on the door too soon.

What causes skin aging?

Skin aging is a normal process. Still, this doesn’t mean it’s a pleasant thing, especially when you feel like wrinkles are starting to form on your face too soon.

Skin aging is affected by the person’s age in most cases. The skin starts to lose elasticity over time after you pass the 20 years old mark. With each passing year, the body will produce 1% less collagen. So, elastin production will go down as well. The skin will be affected by this, as it isn’t able to heal itself the same way it was before. It’s more delicate.

Also, let’s not forget that your glands produce less oil. The skin isn’t moisturized enough, and you get larger pores and sagging skin and, in the end, wrinkles. This will make the skin look much older than it is.

Another factor that leads to wrinkles is ultraviolet light exposure and sunlight exposure. Being in the sun for too long can increase the skin aging process.

On top of that, with so much pollution happening, it’s not a surprise that your skin starts aging faster. The unhealthy air isn’t good for the skin, and if you have an unhealthy diet on top of that, then the effects will be even more apparent.

Aging is not something you can stop. You’re only human, and you’ll have to confront this process. But there are ways to prevent your skin from getting wrinkly too soon. Some products will prevent premature aging and slow down the process, making sure that your skin looks youthful for a longer time. CBD-based products such as creams and softgels are a great example. CBD softgels with melatonin, for instance, can do wonders.

The Best Ways to Keep Wrinkles Away

How are CBD creams used in combating wrinkles?

Creams infused with CBD are a great way to keep wrinkles away. Creams are some of the most common products with CBD you can come across.

However, while CBD creams and softgels may be effective, it’s always best to consult a doctor. Your dermatologist should check your skin first. Self-treating is not an option, especially if you’re unaware of your skin sensitivity and other underlying conditions. Your dermatologist will be able to tell you if CBD creams are safe for your skin when treating wrinkles.

How do CBD creams and softgels help with preventing wrinkles?

The CBD compound found in these products has special properties that help your skin maintain its youth. If you apply the cream properly on your face, then you can expect some good results. Here is why the CBD in creams and softgels is considered one of the best anti-aging treatments:

●      Skin inflammation prevention

When your skin has inflammation, wrinkling becomes more likely to happen. This is because your body will release certain agents that will damage elastin and collagen, which are structural components of the skin. As a result, wrinkles might occur sooner than you want.

CBD is considered a good anti-inflammatory compound, which is why it’s a great ingredient in anti-aging creams. It will soothe your skin and smooth out any wrinkles and lines. As a result, you will age at a slower pace.

●      Antioxidant properties

CBD acts as an excellent antioxidant. It will reduce the activity of the free radicals in the skin cells and tissues. By doing this, CBD can stop the damage that would otherwise occur to the cells, and as a result, there will be less of a breakdown of collagen. So, the skin will maintain its youthful appearance by preventing wrinkles.

●      Skin-soothing and healing properties

Are your skin cells damaged? This would be a terrible scenario because it could lead to faster wrinkling. Sadly, sun exposure for long periods or pollutants is a common factor for skin cell damage. But using CBD creams or softgels can help.

CBD can help with skin regeneration, making this process faster and more effective. When skin cells are damaged, a good CBD cream will help create new skin cells. Thus, your skin will be in good shape, so wrinkles will appear much slower to speak. The skin will produce more oil and will stay moisturized. And a moisturized skin is less likely to wrinkle ahead of time.

If your skin is sensitive, you can rely on CBD creams for a soothing effect too. CBD has calming and soothing properties and can help soothe any skin sensitivity. So, if redness and other reactivity issues are a struggle for you, you should know they can be reduced with CBD.

The Best Ways to Keep Wrinkles Away

Final thoughts

If you want to slow down aging, then CBD softgels and creams are a great way to do so. CBD has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties, and if you want to stop wrinkles from affecting your skin too soon, then using such products can help a lot. However, make sure to talk to your dermatologist first if you plan on using them.

FALL WINTER 2021 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS

AW21 is a paean to the cultural iconography of The North of England and the no-nonsense opulence of its matriarchs. The collection is named after the original title for the British soap Coronation Street, devised by Tony Warren in the 1960s as a ‘fascinating freemasonry, a volume of unwritten rules’.

Crutchley looks to a host of gutsy personalities loved for their straightforwardness, approachability and humour. From the formality of farmers dressed smartly for an auction to the earthy camp of drag queen Lily Savage, the mood is dressed-up for downtime. Workwear donkey jackets are in oversized leopard jacquard. Keitel bomber jackets – a shape native to Crutchley’s birthplace in the Dales – are in moiré. The designer’s signature flamboyance has eased into supple cashmere melange tracksuits, swing coats and flared macs wine a longer line. Tailoring is slimmer.” – from Edward Crutchley

Actor Ewan McGregor stars in the cover story of VMAN Magazine‘s Spring Summer 2021 edition lensed by fashion photographer Damon Baker. In charge of styling was Nicola Formichetti, who for the covers selected looks from Celine (above) and Tom Ford (below) with jewelry from Tiffany & Co. Set design is work of Michael Sturgeon, with grooming from beauty artist Sussy Campos at Art Department LA using Tom Ford Beauty and Oribe.

I started reading about him. He sent me some articles and more photographs. I read everything. I started falling for Halston’s pictures, and I was like “who is this guy? Surrounded by all these Halstonettes. So grand.” I learned more about Halston’s quick temper, about how loyal everybody was to him, how they loved him, and how not many people have got a nasty thing to say about him. Even though he was a very difficult man, there was so much love for this guy. All of that started titillating me and my sort of creative imagination, thinking how interesting it would be to play him. To be able to flash from anger to the way he looked, the way he drew everyone in. I loved the pictures of him looking at women wearing his clothes. – Ewan McGregor on playing Halston

Ewan is playing American fashion designer Halston, in Netflix original series set to premiere later this year, and he will also reprise his iconic role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Disney+ limited series.

Discover Dunhill Fall Winter 2021.22 Collection, a play between the homespun and urbane, of utility and formality.

FALL WINTER 2021 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS

Ideas of tradition, inheritance and continuity run throughout the collection, together with a certain iconoclasm in their treatment; it’s a very British dichotomy where symbols of class and creativity are brought together in insouciant style and worn with a don’t-give-a-damn attitude.

© dunhill

For this collection, I wanted to focus on clothes rather than themes, on individual garments and accessories and what they stand for in their own right. This is something that seems more appropriate when a collection is looked at in detail rather than shown and seen at a distance. Last season was about stopping and assessing; it was about the rigour of process. This collection still has that, for one, there is an inquisitive exploration of the expertise of tailoring. But there is also the joyful immediacy of found objects as well as the domestic and homespun, personal and playful moments underpinned by the rigour of formality and utility. There is an idea of the multi-functional as well as a summation of particular elements in collections we have completed so far. Things are brought together in that very British way: scruffily stylish confidence. It is a balance between moments of naivety and playfulness, against sophistication; it’s about masculinity, not whimsy.
– says Mark Weston, Creative Director of dunhill.

FALL WINTER 2021 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS

The collection includes a delicate offering of embroidered puffer jackets, short sculptural jackets, oversized jacquard jumpers and distressed wide leg trousers. The statement pieces in the collection are made using layers of satin, first bonded together with embroidery and were carefully treated with a distressing technique by hand. The delicate and sensitive treatment reviews the intricate layers of colours and textures hidden underneath the surfaces.” – from Danshan

Discover N21 Fall Winter 2021.22 Collection, that explores eccentric eroticism and physicality, presented on Wednesday February 24th, during the ongoing Milan Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by the work of Italian designer, architect and photographer Carlo Mollino.

A Carlo Mollino photograph got me to thinking about a form of aesthetics that the great Italian architect imbued also into the attitudes and postures of the women he photographed in settings he constructed with his eclectic vision. I wanted to transfer into my collection the same eccentric eroticism, a typically Italian sense of eroticism holding all in one both modesty and desire to draw attention. That’s the starting point for a very “clean” inflection of the eccentric side to the bourgeoisie consisting of lace bras peeking through a cardigan, see-through elements emerging quite by chance, a wish for physicality and nudity which find innocence precisely in the nonchalance of intent. It’s a collection that’s built not around “double meanings” open to interpretation but around direct words providing women and men the chance to show themselves for how they want to be – Alessandro Dell’Acqua, N21 creative director

Travis Scott is the Cover Star of i-D Magazine Spring 2021 Issue

American rapper Travis Scott takes the cover of i-D Magazine‘s Spring 2021 The Utopia in Dystopia edition, lensed by fashion photographer Spike Jonze. In charge of styling were Mackenzie Grandquist and Alexandra Grandquist, with makeup from beauty artist Amber Amos at The Only Agency, and grooming by Marcus Hatch. For the cover Travis is wearing Prada.

Fatherhood influences my job. It has a huge impact. It’s a major inspiration, you know what I’m saying? Especially Storm, she’s just acting like a kid. She’s always interested, she catches on and learns things and adapts to things so fast. It’s so crazy, Stormi’s generation is way different from mine, and she’s way different from my younger brother and sister. Kids show you a different outlook on life, how they view things, the type of pressures they have and what makes them happy, what makes them move. Like, when she watches certain movies or listen to certain songs. Or she watches my concerts on YouTube and she realises she’s there, she’s ready to see now. I realised my job is way more important than what I thought because of her. More responsibility, you know? You’ve got to use that properly. – Travis Scott
